Officer technician in aircraft handling and support operations aboard ship. They plan, supervise, and execute the recovery, placement, refueling, and launching of all aircraft aboard CVs, LPHs, and LHAs. They maintain aircraft launch/recovery equipment, visual landing aids, and aviation fuel and lubricant receiving/stowage, and dispensing equipment. They are also charged with aircraft crash and salvage operation and firefighting capabilities.
