Performs direct support and general support (DS/GS) maintenance on fuel and electrical systems of wheel and track vehicles.

Performs duties in preceding skill levels, supervises lower grade soldiers and provides technical guidance to the soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties; supervises the inspection and troubleshooting of tracked vehicle automotive systems and wheeled vehicles; manages battlefield damage assessment and repair; the mechanical maintenance supervisor supervises, plans, coordinates, and directs the unit, direct support and general support (DS/GS) maintenance of all mechanical equipment; (1) Serving as principal maintenance or operations NCO in maintenance battalion or higher level organization; (2) Supervising personnel performing the duties of (a) Machinist (44E4O); (b) Armament/fire control maintenance supervisor (45Z4O); (c) Construction equipment repairer (62B4O); (d) Track vehicle repairer (63H4O).

The mechanical maintenance supervisor supervises, plans, coordinates, and directs the unit, direct support and general support (DS/GS) maintenance of all mechanical equipment; (1) Serving as principal maintenance or operations NCO in maintenance battalion or higher level organization; (2) Supervising personnel performing the duties of (a) Machinist (44E4O); (b) Armament/fire control maintenance supervisor (45Z4O); (c) Construction equipment repairer (62B4O); (d) Track vehicle repairer (63H4O).

Repairs the fuel supply pumps, fuel pumps (metering and injection), fuel injectors, governors, wiring harnesses, alternators/generators, starters, regulators and electrical control boxes, DC electrical motors, air brake system components, hydraulic brake system components, and personnel heaters; perform and supervise fuel and electrical systems repairer (MOS 63G) duties, performs and supervises wheel vehicle repairer (MOS 63W) duties, supervises lower grade soldiers and provides technical guidance to the soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties; supervise and repair of fuel systems, fuel system components, electrical systems, electrical system components, turbine engines, diesel engines, cooling systems, transmissions, brake systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, auxiliary drives, and personnel heaters; inspects and troubleshoots tracked vehicle automotive systems, wheel vehicles and classify equipment.
