Corrections officers interpret, apply and review policies, regulations and directives; oversee the humane care, custody, discipline, safety, welfare, and correctional treatment of confined and restrained personnel; review and recommend treatment programs, custody classification and other security, control and disposition matters related to the confinement or restraint of personnel.

Develop correctional programs; Submit progress, clemency, and parole recommendations; Authorize the appropriate level of force; Establish Correctional Boards; Manage facility sections; Advise Commanders on Expeditionary Detainee Operations
