Job Detail

Radio chiefs are qualified to supervise the installation and operation of fixed and field radio stations, microwave stations, and visual signaling stations.

Radio chiefs assist in selecting the frequencies and radio sites to be used for each mission as well as determining the mix of radio equipment to be employed. Radio chiefs should develop a systems approach toward communications, understanding wire and data communication equipment capabilities and systems integration.
