Inspects, tests, and performs maintenance and repair of Hawk Battery Control Central, Assault Fire Control Console, Engagement Simulator.

Must be qualified in a Nike Maintenance MOS; must know capabilities and limitations of maintenance equipment and subordinate personnel to establish workloads and repair priorities; must know administrative procedures and command and supply channels of unit to which assigned; must know pertinent technical manuals, regulations, and inspection techniques applicable to Nike launcher control, radars, computers, guidance systems, and associated test equipment; must know general shop planning and be able to recommend establishment of procedures for receipt, storage, inspection, testing, and repair and Nike system electrical, electronic, and mechanical components; must know technical mission, maintenance responsibilities, and operation of supported and supporting units; must know function and limitations of missile system contact teams; must know capabilities and limitations of missile repair shops attached to missile firing battalions; must be able to organize and direct detachment maintenance activities to include both shop and contact team maintenance; must be able to organize and supervise inspection and maintenance teams; must be able to diagnose and evaluate malfunctions to determine seriousness of malfunction, length of time, and tools and parts required to repair equipment or component, and whether such maintenance and repair can be accomplished by direct or general support detachment; must be able to coordinate maintenance activities of organizational and higher echelon repair personnel; must be able to conduct on-the-job training programs; must be able to apply sound management principles, coordinate repair activities, and maintain a high level of unit cooperation and productivity; must be able to provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel performing complex repairs on missile equipment; must be able to supervise modification of equipment and provide on-the-job training of maintenance of modified equipment; must be able to read and utilize TOE, TD, TA, and supply manuals.

Must be qualified as Electronic Repair Apprentice (22A10); must know nomenclature, function, location of components and operating procedure of the Battery Control Central, Assault Fire Command Console, Engagement Simulator and operation of associated maintenance test equipment, to include electronic shops two and three; must know maintenance procedures for associated general and system peculiar maintenance; must know techniques and procedures pertaining to repair or removal of components and parts including breaking of permanent type connections; must know inspection and maintenance procedures applicable to Battery Control Central, Assault Fire Control Console, Engagement Simulator, and operation of electronics Shops two and three; must be able to apply electronic theory and systems analysis procedures in diagnosis and isolation of malfunctions; must be able to perform maintenance calibration checks, adjust and repair common and special test equipment; must be able to render technical assistance to supported units and their personnel.

Must be qualified as HAWK Fire Control Repairman (23Q20); must know operation of entire HAWK missile system; must know general shop planning and procedures for receipt, storage, inspection, testing and repair of the HAWK Battery Control Central, Assault Fire Command Console, Engagement Simulator and operation of electronic Shops two and three; must call know capabilities and limitations of maintenance equipment and subordinate personnel to establish workloads and repair priorities; must know administrative procedures and command supply channels of unit to which assigned; must be able to inspect, instruct, and report on maintenance of HAWK Battery Control Center, Assault Fire Control Console, Engagement Simulator, and operation of electronic Shops two and three; must be able to perform final checkout of entire Battery Control Central, Assault Fire Control Console and engagement simulator; must be qualified in a Nike Maintenance MOS; must know capabilities and limitations of maintenance equipment and subordinate personnel to establish workloads and repair priorities; must know administrative procedures and command and supply channels of unit to which assigned; must know pertinent technical manuals, regulations, and inspection techniques applicable to Nike launcher control, radars, computers, guidance systems, and associated test equipment; must know general shop planning and be able to recommend establishment of procedures for receipt, storage, inspection, testing, and repair and Nike system electrical, electronic, and mechanical components; must know technical mission, maintenance responsibilities, and operation of supported and supporting units; must know function and limitations of missile system contact teams; must know capabilities and limitations of missile repair shops attached to missile firing battalions; must be able to organize and direct detachment maintenance activities to include both shop and contact team maintenance; must be able to organize and supervise inspection and maintenance teams; must be able to diagnose and evaluate malfunctions to determine seriousness of malfunction, length of time, and tools and parts required to repair equipment or component, and whether such maintenance and repair can be accomplished by direct or general support detachment; must be able to coordinate maintenance activities of organizational and higher echelon repair personnel; must be able to conduct on-the-job training programs; must be able to apply sound management principles, coordinate repair activities, and maintain a high level of unit cooperation and productivity; must be able to provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel performing complex repairs on missile equipment; must be able to supervise modification of equipment and provide on-the-job training of maintenance of modified equipment; must be able to read and utilize TOE, TD, TA, and supply manuals.
