Drafts detailed working plans for construction of bridges, airfields, roads, railroads, piers, buildings, and utilities installation.

Assists in performance of construction or design drafting; extracts and site adapts simple standard construction drawings and details from appropriate technical manuals or architectural graphic standards; supervises technical engineering relating to construction surveying, drafting, and testing of construction materials.

Plans, directs, and performs technical site development activities; provide staff supervision and principal non-commissioned officer direction to units engaged in structural building and repair, or provision of water and utilities services; provide general supervision to personnel performing duties of technical engineering supervisor (51T40); firefighter (51M40); construction engineering supervisor (51H40); diver (00B40); construction equipment supervisor (62N40); transmission and distribution specialist (52G40); prime power production specialist (52E40); industrial gas production specialist (53B40); reserve forces only; perform principal noncommissioned officer duties associated with SQI M.

Provide staff supervision and principal noncommissioned officer direction to units engaged in structural building and repair, or provision of water and utilities services; provide general supervision to personnel performing duties of technical engineering supervisor (51T40); firefighter (51M40); construction engineering supervisor (51H40); diver (00B40); construction equipment supervisor (62N40); transmission and distribution specialist (52G40); prime power production specialist (52E40); industrial gas production specialist (53B40); reserve forces only; perform principal noncommissioned officer duties associated with SQI M; provides advice and makes recommendations to the commander and staff on all matters pertaining to enlisted personnel and their families; accompanies the commander on inspections and visits and at ceremonies; assists in inspection of command activities facilities and personnel as prescribed by the commander; holds first sergeants' or sergeants' major call to announce information and instructions; insures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs of the service, and command regulations or policies; provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted personnel of the command; inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs; notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command; sits as president or member of command promotion board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations; performs other duties prescribed by the commander.
