Performs as a messenger. keeps maintenance records and log books on vehicle and or equipment. operates and performs preventive maintenance on light wheeled vehicles.

Must be able to perform the duties of Communications Center Specialist (72B20 or 72B30); supervises teletypewriter, crypto material, and message handling activities; assigns personnel to duties; observes and corrects faulty work procedures; assures observance of proper security measures; checks controls to assure proper recording of information; takes action on service messages; performs administrative functions such as establishment of records, supply requisitions, changes in procedures, and rotation of personnel to assure adequate coverage message handling and related activities; prepares routine and special reports on communications center and crypto material section operations; evaluates proficiency of subordinate personnel; assists in disposition of classified material; insures that all changes to crypto documents are properly inserted and that subordinates personnel have properly interpreted such changes; conducts continuing audit and review of crypto materiel accounts; prepares final periodic reports on crypto security activities; reviews accounting procedures and recommends improvements therein; makes visual perspective flow of work through machine accounting process; provide technical information on crypto facility and communications center operations to command and staff section; plans, organizations and coordinates work activities of operating units.

Plans, coordinates, directs, and supervises the installation, operation and management of integrated manual and automated communications systems in support of organizations at all levels; provides advice and makes, recommendations to the commander aid staff on all matters pertain to enlisted personnel and their families; accompanies the commander on inspections and visits and at ceremonies; assists in inspection of command activities facilities aid personnel as prescribed by the commander; holds first sergeants' or sergeants' major call to announce information and instructions; insures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs, of the service, and command regulations or policies; provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted personnel of the command; inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs; notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command; sits as president or, member of command promotion board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations; performs other duties prescribed by, the commander.

Reads military maps; employs metric system of linear measurement to include conversion from English system; applies regulations on security and safeguarding classified information and materials; employs message handling procedures; must be able to perform the duties of Communications Center Specialist (72B10); operates teletypewriter equipment, crypto devices, and associated equipment; performs related clerical and administrative functions in communications and crypto material facilities; attends teletypewriter equipment and operates keyboard at a speed of 25 words per minute in message format to transmit messages; employs standard military abbreviations, degrees of precedence, phonetic alphabet, operating pro-signs, and Army style hand printing; prepares perforated tape for transmission; applies tape relay and manual teletypewriter procedures; prepares required accounting reports and records; applies requisitioning procedures under the provisions of AR 380-41; must be able to perform the duties of Communications Center Specialist (72B20); compiles data for preparation of cryptosystems, and reproduces, and distributes crypto material; applies crypto security regulations; receives, issues, stores, destroys, and accounts for all crypto material; employs punched cards; for accounting and reporting purposes, including color, form number and purpose of cards; assembles crypto material and checks against transfer report for agreement of title and sequence of register numbers; prepares crypto material for shipment; assists in inventorying accountable equipment and materials; prepares low-level codes and ciphers; assists in receipt, examination, and disposition of crypto material; applies principles of simple graphic art as used with reproducing machines for the reproduction of authorized crypto material.
