Conducts analysis, develops the threat situation, and produces and disseminates all-source intelligence products to support the command.

Prepare all-source intelligence products to support the combat commander; establish and maintain systematic, cross-referenced intelligence records and files; receives and processes incoming reports and messages; determine significance and reliability of incoming information; conducts initial Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield/Battlespace in order to define the operational environment; describe environmental effects on threat and friendly operations; evaluate the threat; and determine threat courses of action; performs initial development of the threat situation; draft Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Synchronization products; provide Intelligence Support to Targeting; conduct analysis and evaluation of intelligence holdings to determine changes in enemy capabilities, vulnerabilities, and probable courses of action; disseminates and presents intelligence products and findings; performs duties shown in preceding skill level and provides guidance to subordinate Soldiers; conducts Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield/Battlespace in order to identify the Area of Operations, significant characteristics of the environment, and intelligence gaps; conduct terrain analysis in order to analyze military aspects and effects of terrain, while applying the effects of weather on military operations, and considering civilian factors (ASCOPE); identify threat capabilities while creating and updating threat models; identify threat objectives and course of action; creating enemy situation templates and high value target lists, and developing initial Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) requirements; develops NAIs, TAIs, IRs, Indicators, and SIRs to incorporate into the ISR Synchronization plan to answer intelligence requirements; provides Intelligence Support to Targeting by developing Targets, HVT list, and TIP; and analyzes and prioritizes targets; assist in the preparation of reports on captured enemy material; drafts periodic and special intelligence reports, plans, and briefings; performs duties shown in preceding skill level and provides guidance to subordinate Soldiers; quality controls analysis performed by subordinates; conducts Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield/ Battlespace in order to verify the Area of Operations, significant characteristics of the environment and intelligence gaps; verify the terrain analysis in order to analyze military aspects and effects of terrain, while applying the effects of weather on military operations, and considering civilian factors (ASCOPE); verify and refine threat capabilities while creating and updating threat models; validate threat objectives and courses of action; refine enemy situation templates and high value target lists and ISR requirements; develops the threat situation by receiving, processing and analyzing information in order to determine intelligence gaps; confirms or denies threat COAs; updates SITMAP, publish INTSUM; confirms or denies satisfaction of PIR and recommend changes; performs Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Synchronization, Dissemination, ISR Operations to answer intelligence requirements; provides Intelligence Support to Targeting by verifying HVT list, validating TIP, and nominating targets; conducts combat assessment and determines second and third order effects; receives, produces and disseminates intelligence reports containing information obtained from all-sources; assist in preparing and conducting command intelligence training programs; supervise intelligence operations within a combat battalion.

The Intelligence Senior Sergeant/Chief Intelligence Sergeant serves as the principal enlisted assistant to commanders and heads of staff elements, and as staff NCO for major commands, in multi-echelon, joint and combined intelligence organizations; supervises intelligence surveillance, collection, analysis, processing, and distribution activities at all echelons; supervises activities pertaining to organization and training of tactical and technical operations; coordinates operating requirements of subordinate units with major supported units; reviews, evaluates, prepares and executes intelligence assets, deployment, employment, and redeployment plans and orders; supervises intelligence operations in Corps and echelon above corps (EAC) analysis and control elements (ACE); reviews Intelligence doctrinal publications and prepares recommended changes; compares modification Tables of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) and Tables of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) authorization documents with Intelligence missions and functions and recommends revisions; provides advice and makes recommendations to the commander and staff on all matters pertaining to enlisted soldiers and their families; accompanies the commander on inspections, visits and ceremonies; assists in inspection of command activities, facilities and personnel as prescribed by the commander; ensures adherence to command policies; holds first sergeants' or sergeants' major call to announce information and instruction; ensures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs of the service and command regulations or policies; responsible for monitoring training or conducts training of enlisted soldiers; assesses training at all levels and provides feedback to appropriate commanders and leaders; provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted soldiers of the command; responsible for and provides guidance on Non-Commissioned Officer Education System (NCOES) and Non-Commissioned Officer Development Program (NCODP); inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs; notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command; serves as president or member of command promotion board or removal board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations; sits as chairperson or member of a command's "Military Member of the Quarter/Year" competition for enlisted soldiers or NCOs, as directed by local regulations; responsible for quality, control and training of noncommissioned officer evaluation reports (NCOER) while ensuring timely submissions; reviews evaluation reports to determine compliance with policies and procedures and recommends corrective actions on deficiencies to commanders, other leaders and rating officials; performs other duties prescribed by the commander; assists in the professional development of junior and company grade officer.
