Performs unit maintenance on intercept de-multiplex systems used in mobile and fixed station.

Performs unit maintenance on intercept demultiplex systems used in mobile and fixed station; assembles, modifies, checks, and inspects intercept demultiplexing systems, and facilities; interconnects components of intercept demultiplex systems and associated equipment; dismantles and cleans electronic and mechanical tests, using advanced test equipment, diagrams, and equipment performance standards; analyzes operation of malfunctioning intercept demultiplex systems to sectionalize and repair defective positions, components, assemblies and subassemblies; isolate defective circuits and parts and determines cause of malfunction; repair or replace defective circuitry, parts, and components; aligns electronic circuits and adjusts mechanical performance of equipment to meet the prescribed standards; make authorized modifications of equipment; fabricates parts and substitutes components, assemblies and subassemblies, circuitry, and parts; test operates repaired equipment to insure performance standards are met; prepares and maintain maintenance records and reports in accordance with applicable regulations; provide technical assistance and advice on repair and maintenance of intercept demultiplex systems; must be qualified as a General Intercept Equipment Repairman (33B20); must have procedures for safeguarding classified information and material including physical security, cryptographic security, and transmission security; must know safety procedures to be exercised when working with high voltages; must know first aid to be given in event of injury from electrical shock; must know advanced electrical, electronic, and magnetic theory as applicable to maintenance of intercept demultiplex system; must know advanced vacuum tube and solid state circuit theory; must know operating characteristics of special purpose computers and other time-based special demultiplexer equipment; must know principles of time division multiplexing and demultiplexing; must be able to analyze operation of malfunctioning systems.

Must be able to perform the duties of an Intercept Systems Maintenance Supervisor, 33Z40; serves as maintenance chief at battalion, field station or higher headquarters; prepares lesson plans and demonstrations for cross training personnel; recommends changes in work procedures; reports on unsatisfactory equipment and circuitry within intercept and deception-jamming systems; recommends equipment design changes and reports on efficiency of changes performed; assists in the technical inspection for material readiness and effectiveness of maintenance procedures and practices; prepares technical reports and maintenance records; inspects maintenance performed by intercept and deception-jamming equipment specialists; provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel performing complex repairs on interprets and deception-jamming systems; interprets technical literature on operation and maintenance of general and special types of intercept and deception-jamming systems; prepares maintenance schedules; supervises administrative functions and performs duties at preceding level of skill at division, comparable, or higher level headquarters; provides technical training and instructions to subordinates and supported units; inspects subordinates units and makes recommendations for elimination of deficiencies or improvement of administrative operations; provides advice and makes recommendations to the commander and staff on all matters pertaining to enlisted soldiers and their families; accompanies the commander on inspections, visits and ceremonies; assists in inspection of command activities, facilities and personnel as prescribed by the commander; ensures adherence to command policies; holds First Sergeant's or Sergeants' Major call to announce information and instruction; ensures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs of the service and command regulations or policies; responsible for monitoring training or conducts training of enlisted soldiers; assesses training at all levels and provides feedback to appropriate commanders and leaders; provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted soldiers of the command; responsible for and provides guidance on Non-Commissioned Officer Education System (NCOES) and Non-Commissioned Officer Development Program; inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs; notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command; serves as president or member of command promotion board or removal board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations; sits as chairperson or member of a command's Military Member of the Quarter/Year competition for enlisted soldiers or NCOs, as directed by local regulations; responsible for quality, control and training of noncommissioned officer evaluation reports while ensuring timely submissions; reviews evaluation reports to determine compliance with policies and procedures and recommends corrective actions on deficiencies to commanders, other leaders and rating officials; performs other duties prescribed by the commander; assists in the professional development of junior and company grade officer.

Must be able to perform the duties of an Intercept Receiving Systems Repairman, 33C20, Intercept Recording Systems Repairman, 33D20, Intercepts Demultiplex Systems Repairman, 33F20 or ECM/DF Systems Repairman, 33G20; serves as maintenance supervisor of direct, general and depot maintenance on intercept systems; establishes work priorities and assigns repair specialists; assists in supervision of personnel making complex authorized modifications of intercept and deception jamming systems; explains complex electronics, mechanical, and solid-state concepts; instructs and demonstrates diagnostic and repair procedures and utilization of special test equipment and tools; diagnoses causes of unusual equipment malfunction; determines technical operating difficulties; takes corrective actions necessary from analysis of intercept and deception jamming repair teams; plans and supervises operations of maintenance shop in technical unit and fixed station facility; must be able to perform the duties of an Intercept Systems Maintenance Supervisor, 33Z40; serves as maintenance chief at battalion, field station or higher headquarters; prepares lesson plans and demonstrations for cross training personnel; recommends changes in work procedures; reports on unsatisfactory equipment and circuitry within intercept and deception jamming systems; recommends equipment design changes and reports on efficiency of changes performed; assists in the technical inspection for material readiness and effectiveness of maintenance procedures and practices; prepares technical reports and maintenance records; inspects maintenance performed by intercept and deception jamming equipment specialists; provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel performing complex repairs on interprets and deception jamming systems; interprets technical literature on operation and maintenance of general and special types of intercept and deception jamming systems; prepares maintenance schedules.
