Supervises or performs organizational, direct, and general support maintenance on the Air Defense Command and Control System (AN/TSQ-51).

Supervises duties shown in preceding levels of skill; coordinates maintenance functions; schedules work shifts and assignments; observes, corrects, and instructs personnel in proper maintenance techniques and procedures; prepares or supervises preparation of technical and administrative records and reports; must be able to perform duties of any MOSC in CMF subfield 238 at the 4 skill level; supervises fire distribution system maintenance unit at brigade or comparable level; plans, executes, and supervises march order; supervises tactical movements of mobile fire distribution system; assists in site selection for equipment employment; assists maintenance officer in preparation of work schedules; coordinates installation of new or replacement equipment; observes rules governing handling of classified material; supervises installation of modification work orders and service testing of modified equipment; studies maintenance logs for recurrent equipment malfunction; diagnoses and determines causes of unusual malfunction and recurrent malfunction; reads, interprets, and explains complex specifications and circuit and schematic diagrams; prepares reports and makes recommendations for modification of components and circuitry; supervises maintenance of physical facilities to include main and emergency power sources; prepares lesson plans and training schedules; supervises technical training at unit level.

Must be able to perform duties of any MOSC in CMF subfield 238 at the 4 skill level; supervises fire distribution system maintenance unit at brigade or comparable level; plans, executes, and supervises march order; supervises tactical movements of mobile fire distribution system; assists in site selection for equipment employment; assists maintenance officer in preparation of work schedules; coordinates installation of new or replacement equipment; observes rules governing handling of classified material; supervises installation of modification work orders and service testing of modified equipment; studies maintenance logs for recurrent equipment malfunction; diagnoses and determines causes of unusual malfunction and recurrent malfunction; reads, interprets, and explains complex specifications and circuit and schematic diagrams; prepares reports and makes recommendations for modification of components and circuitry; supervises maintenance of physical facilities to include main and emergency power sources; prepares lesson plans and training schedules; supervises technical training at unit level; provides advice and makes, recommendations to the commander aid staff on all matters pertain to enlisted personnel and their families; accompanies the commander on inspections and visits and at ceremonies; assists in inspection of command activities facilities aid personnel as prescribed by the commander; holds First Sergeants' or Sergeants' Major call to announce information and instructions; insures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs, of the service, and command regulations or policies; provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted personnel of the command; inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs; notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command; sits as president or, member of command promotion board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations; performs other duties prescribed by, the commander.

Performs full range of maintenance on display consoles, display and signal generation equipment, radar integration and video processing equipment, general purpose computers with associated buffers and peripheral equipment and power supply distribution system; troubleshoots equipment circuitry; diagnoses malfunctions; locates defects; repairs or replaces components in system; performs preliminary inspection of equipment for evidence of damage indicating cause of malfunction; test operates system; conducts functional and system tests utilizing test features to localize malfunctions with particular chassis or assembly; studies technical material, diagrams, computers programs, and interconnection lists to organize troubleshooting procedures and techniques; replaces lowest removable units such as printed circuit cards; tests repaired cards, chassis, and assemblies for proper operation; performs duties shown in preceding level of skill and provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel.
