Job Detail

Performs maintenance on the electrical. hydraulic, hydro-pneumatic, mechanical, and electromechanical portions of the HAWK system.

Performs intermediate level maintenance on electronic systems of the HAWK launcher and the electrical, hydraulic, hydropneumatic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical portions of the HAWK system launcher; battery control central (BCC); high powered illuminator radar (HIPIR); pulse acquisition radar (PAR); HAWK continuous wave acquisition radar (HCWAR); range-only radar (ROR); information coordination central (ICC); platoon command post (PCP); simulator station; launching section control box; system associated test equipment; loader-transporter superstructure; intermediate maintenance test equipment (SMTE) shops 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 9; mobile team shop (MTS); provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel; supervises duties performed at preceding levels of skill.

Serves as maintenance chief in unit at battalion or higher level; serves as first sergeant of a company; performs duties associated with SQI M; serves as chief instructor in a training facility, chief advisor to a Reserve Component unit, or chief advisor to a foreign military unit; provides advice and makes, recommendations to the commander aid staff on all matters pertain to enlisted personnel and their families; accompanies the commander on inspections and visits and at ceremonies; assists in inspection of command activities facilities aid personnel as prescribed by the commander; holds first sergeants' or sergeants' major call to announce information and instructions; insures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs, of the service, and command regulations or policies; provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted personnel of the command; inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs; notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command; sits as president or, member of command promotion board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations; performs other duties prescribed by, the commander.

Serves as a section chief or principal noncommissioned officer of a platoon performing missile system support maintenance; supervises and inspects activities of subordinate noncommissioned officers engaged in missile system maintenance and associated supply activities; assists in development and supervises quality assurance and quality, control program; serves as maintenance chief in unit at battalion or higher level; serves as first sergeant of a company; performs duties associated with SQI M; serves as chief instructor in a training facility, chief advisor to a Reserve Component unit, or chief advisor to a foreign military unit.
